Not sure if my application went though. So to be better safe than sorry, here it is again.
I kept looking and I seen a application format, but nothing as to where to post it, so I figured you must want me to send it directly to you for approval? Anyhow, here, let me open the curtains into my twisted mind.
Full Name: Edgar Sebastian Vandersnow
Nickname(s): Vander, or Vandersnow
Gender: Male
Birthday: November 15th 1848
Age: Close to 200 years
Good or Evil?: Mostly evil, but sometimes does good things for selfish reasons.
Siblings: None, used to, but that was 150 years ago.
Family: Once again, they're all dust in the wind by now.
Hair: Midnight Blue
Eyes: frosted red(like a frozen steak)
Skin Tone: Very Pale, almost light gray
Personality: Very dry, and cold, self centered and jaded, antisocial, and sarcastic. Doesn't like people.
Weaknesses: Fire inflicts most damage, but he's not particularly invulnerable. He has super human abilites, but they drain fairly easy and once drained he's very weak and almost helpless.
History: Much of Vandersnow's history is a complete blank, even to him. He remembers that he was born before combustion engines, before electric lights were available to all, before the cival war. After that, he remebers bits and pieces, and none of them pleasant memories. When Vandersnow was 15 he came upon a crashed spaceship while hunting mink, and otters for their fur to provide for his family after his father died in the war. What ever was in the ship possessed some sort of artificial organism, living symbiotically with the pilot who was pretty much a charcoal briquette by the time Vandersnow came up upon it. The symbiotic pseudo lifeform however was still alive and frantically trying to escape the flames of the burning ship. Since Vandersnow was in the right place, the right biomass, and too slow to get away he became the new host of a grotesque abomination which caused him to stop aging, heal from normally mortal wounds in a matter of hours, and become faster, and stronger than even the strongest men.
At first Vandersnow thought it was a blessing, sure there was an ugly looking thing attached to his back, with a large red fluid filled bubble surrounded by darkly colored root like sillia, but he could now do the work of 10 men in one day, but once drained he could barely lift his arm to feed himself.
Soon the artificial life form became a curse. Over time his younger sisters were older than him, and people were noticing. The rootlike filliments had began to spread and were harder to hide under his clothes, and neighbors were starting to whisper. Vandersnow dissapeared, fearing that if he stayed he would be endangering his family. That took a heavy toll on his sense of good in humanity. Skipping head to modern day, Vandersnow has completely lost his respect for life, and becomes jaded thinking that there's nothing good left to save in mankind. But not motivated by rightenousness, he knows he's no better. However after being experimented on by various cells of the US military for the purpose of back engeneering his symbiotic friend so they can give the copies to their super soldiers, and then after escaping that situation and ending up hostage to the KGB who just like the US military only wanted to exploit him. Those two experiences were what cracked his faith in humanity. To think, he was always told that America were the good guys, but behind closed doors they're no different than the communists they claim to be so much more civalized than. What a farce. That's what made him into a villian, where before he was simply trying to find peace. His goals since have become complete global chaos. He doesn't want to rule the world, he wants to send it all back to barbaric times and watch civilization squirm and claw it's way back up to a modern society and maybe do it right this time. Vandersnow has learned alot about the thing attached to him since then. He knows that the fluid filled bubbles that sprout from the larger nodules in the root like growths are his fuel. The organism can heal him, filter out toxins, and disease, hault his aging, and protect him from extreme cold, as well as give him super human strength and speed, only as long as the bubbles are full, much like you need a full tank of gas to drive your car down the road. And like an adrenaline rush, once the chemicals are all used up, you crash and have less energy than you had before the rush came on. He's learned that the fastest way to replenish his fuel are consumption of large amounts of pharmicuducals. But it's like a rechargable battery, it always takes longer to recharge than to drain. He's also discovered that his transplanted friend does not have the same resistance to fire that it does to cold. Healing burns seem to drain it's fuel reserves faster than using any other of it's enhancement gifts. It seems frightened of fire and begins to go into a sort of self preservation hybernation mode when it becomes too hot, leaving Vandersnow no stronger or faster than any normal human. Vandersnow is evil simply because he has no respect for mankind and wishes to see the downfall of society. He ironically at times can find himself in an anti-hero role where he accidentally helps someone as a side effect of accomplising some personal goal. Of course even Drakken has had moments like that, if we're to reference him saving the world from aliens with his genetically engeneered flowers.
Vandersnow however doesn't pride himself as a super villian, or conquerer out to rule the world. As far as he's concerned he's simply a man with an agenda. He almost accomplished that agenda at one point by threatoning to use a magnetic wave guide to reverse the planet's poles causing globally catestropic superquakes. Before he could accomplish this goal he was ousted by Kim's Nana who distracted him with lemon squares and destroyed his machine. Of course Kim's nana was in middle school herself at the time. So now after an entire generation has passed Vandersnow has been locked up in the world's highest security prison for so long that no one really remembers why he's in there, but they're sure it's on record somewhere.. After all it has to be a good reason or he wouldn't be there.
Rp Sample: Vandersnow
Vandersnow has been locked in this prison cell alot longer than he can remember, he quit counting the years after a while. It's been plenty of time to think about how to escape, plenty of time to memorize all the routines and where the security cameras and automated laser cannons are. He's not too worried about running a gauntlet, he's got a full tank of gas and he's confident that he can get past all the lasers before his fuel is too low to heal himself. They come every day at 2, just a few hours after lunch with their tazers, and chains to get him all buckled into the gourney like the hannibal from silence of the lambs. Sevral times he's tried to escape but he always ran out of fuel at the last minute, freedom in reach and he's too tired to even crawl the last few feet to escape.
Vandersnow isn't stupid, while he won't die of old age, there's plenty out there that will take him out. He knows he's not immortal, not really. He also knows sometimes brute force is not the best method. The magnetic cuffs that they have around his wrists and ankles turn on and lock him to the back wall every time the guards come in. Of course he's stronger than the magnets, but struggling against him always drains him too much to have the power left to get out of the prison complex. This would all be so much easier if he could throw energy bolts, but he can't so that's not an option.
Vandersnow felt that familliar tingle from the magnets coming on and he began to slide back pulled against the wall, then the doors opened and five guards come in with the typical attire for taking him down the hall to the little court yard for his required daily exercize. He waited, cooperated until he was securely chained in the comealong and being wheeled out the door. He knows once they get him into the courtward he's stuck until they come to bring him back to his cell. It's not even a true courtyard in the sense that it's outside, because it's more like an enclosed gym with 12 foot thick steel reinforced solid block concrete walls. He'll never bust out of there, so he's got to make his break in the hall.
As soon as they turned off the magnetic cuffs, Vandersnow made his move. Breaking the chains the first guard he grabbed was the one with the controller to his magnetic shackles. He slammed the NPC against the wall and stomped the control box. The other four guards surrounded Vandersnow with their tazer stun rods, but he was still mostly full on fuel so they has as much effect on him as a bee sting, in less than 10 seconds 4 more guards are uncontious on the floor. The security alarms went off as the halls were being monitored and Vandersnow's escape was discovered as soon as he got loose from his restraints. Vandersnow quickly pulled down one of those round parabolic mirrors they put up on the corners so you can look around the corner from down the hall, and continued on with his escape using the mirror to direct the lasers from the automated security systems back at them.
After he made it through the first block it seems like every guard swarmed him like hornets. Vandersnow dropped the partially scorched mirror and pulled out some moves that would make bruce lee proud. Fighting his way through the onslaught of guards he felt a boost of confidence when he saw the last security checkpoint, and his fuel reserves still just under half. Doors started locking down everywhere, and Vandersnow realised it was time for speed. He ran through the crowd dodging around and jumping over guards, the door to the outside slowly closing like it had all the times before but this time Vandersnow had luck on his side, and slid under the door just as it shut. Now with his fuel down to 8 percent vandersnow had just enough left to leap onto the roof of a passing bullet train to make complete his escape. Vandersnow felt the crash coming on, so he laid down to take a little nap, he wasn't too concerned where the train went, as long as it was away from global justice headquarters. By the time he woke up the train was passing right through Middleton, so that's where he decided to jump off of the train. It seemed a quiet enough town, some schools, a mall or two and a whole lot of people who have absolutely no idea who he is.
Anything Else?: Vandersnow looks in his late teens, but he has lines of his face that shows age, almost like a teenager with age lines. I do have pictures of vandersnow. How long his superhuman abilities last depends on the extreme to which he uses them. For example, if he spends the evening tossing cars around his fuel won't even last an hour. But if he just uses enough fuel to make himself only a little faster and stronger then it lasts much longer. At full burn he has about 40 minutes of near invulnerability, but once the fuel's used up, he's too exhausted to even stand up, and his injuries will heal at a normal rate until he's built up more fuel. As far as what that means to the RP is that he can only use his superhuman abilites a couple times per scene, depending on what it is, like picking up a car would drain more fuel than just running fast or jumping higher. Making himself just a little stronger, like breaking bricks with a punch, or kick down a steel door, that would drain more fuel than running fast, but not as much as picking up a tractor trailor. Lifting 80 tons would more than likely drain his fuel all in one shot. So he tries to be very conservative with it, and only go into hyper mode as a last resort. He knows if he's forced to use up his fuel, he better make sure he wins the fight otherwise when he's out of fuel, he's basically beat because he's too weak to keep fighting. He avoids fire and heat at all cost because that causes the symbiotic lifeform to go to sleep and stop giving him any sort of help at all. So his abilites are plenty limited, and I've been RPing long enough to know when it's good ediquette to use the powers, and when not to. Since even in the show, there's aliens, I don't see how his symbiotic life form breaks any rules. But it's up to the moderators to decide.
