Full Name: Samantha Marie Able
Nickname(s): Sam
Gender: Female
Birthday: May 21
Age: 19
Good or Evil?: Good
Family: George (Dad), Monica (Mom). She is an only child.
Occupation: College Student/ GJ agent in training
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Skin Tone: Fair
General Appearance: Sam is a slightly curvaceous, and stands at about 5’4’’. Her blue eyes are often open wide as if surprised, or if she’s daydreaming.
Personality: To put it simply, Sam is odd. She sees life differently than most people, causing others to leave her out. But Sam doesn’t care. In all actuality, she doesn’t notice this. In her eyes, she’s part of the in crowd, fitting in with everything from her hackneyed vocabulary and style choices. Though at many times, she’s scatter-brained and unfocused, once she dedicates herself to a task, it gets done 110%.
She has a deep love for all beings rights, humans and animals alike, almost to an obsession, resulting in her vegan diet.
Sam is also very intelligent, far more science oriented than creatively inclined. She’s good at design aspects, but—much to her dismay—cannot put things together the way she sees them in her head. Furthermore, Sam is not athletically inclined. She isn’t a totally uncoordinated klutz, but she’s certainly not graceful.
Weaknesses: Her attention span is short at times, and she tends to daydream which often puts her behind in her work. Her lack of organization overwhelms her, for her work piles up which can often times give her anxiety attacks.
History:
Sam’s parents were hippies and the birth of their first and only daughter did not slow them down. Her mother runs a candle company and her father is a philosophy professor at Go City Community College. Her parents encouraged free-spiritedness and self-expression for Sam at an early age. But Sam was not as artistically inclined as either of her parents. Sam was always good at science and frequently took apart household appliances. Remote controls. Toasters. Televisions. She was just itching to know how they worked. Instead of admonishing her, her parents encouraged her and her dad would often swing by the local junkyard to get random, broken appliances for her to tinker with. Sam—occasionally—made art from scrap metal, but felt that her creations needed a reason for being. She participated in local robot rumbles during high school and took top marks in the sciences. However, her English and math grades were substantially lower. Meetings with her counselor showed a keen mind, but also a dislike for things that couldn’t help people. She couldn’t connect the abstract to every day until tenth grade. She took an art class, and suddenly, a window that her parents had always hoped would open for Sam did and a bright beacon of light shone through. Suddenly, Sam understood how the abstract conveyed a deeper, more symbolic understanding of human nature. This newfound connection, in combination with her intelligence and desire to help people, put her on GJ’s list of students to watch. She applied to Duketon and was accepted.
Rp Sample:
The work load over-whelmed her, but she was already three weeks behind in he work. This was going to be an all nighter. Sam placed her cigarette in the ash tray and began sifting through the paper work, searching for the easy stuff, so that could completed first. Her name. That was easy enough to answer. Samantha Marie Able. Her mission? Oh, that was simple. Just as she placed her pen to the paper, her stomach growled, derailing her train of though all she could think was Holy Mackrel, a mushroom panini right about now... But seeing as there was no panini near her, she had to settle for a stick of gum so she could continue her work.
Where most people failed in this section, the little black equations glareing up at them, daring the person to attempt at them, Sam marched on and solved them, but quickly grew bored with the whole prospect. She wanted her training to be over. God could she see light now...
